Thank you for all the beautiful prayers going up for our team in Haiti, for our congregations there, and for the children in our school and orphanage. Keri, Mickey, and I were overwhelmed by the phone calls of concern from our church and the community yesterday with encouraging words and praise for our God. Please keep it up!
I spoke with Connie Franklin (Pastor Mike Franklin’s wife) last night. We have not heard from our team yet; however, we know communication is difficult because of the high winds. Connie is such an encouraging lady, reminding us of God’s promises. She stressed that this is an opportunity for us to stand on His Word. The unknown is always difficult, but it is in the unknown that we find His greatest comfort. Whether it is an unfavorable medical diagnosis, the loss of a job, financial stress, issues with our children, or waiting for those we love, as believers we must demonstrate a reliance on Him.
Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
He will never leave us nor forsake us.
What an awesome God we serve! Continue to pray for all those impacted by Hurricane Matthew. Hold on to the Word and promises of God. Faith always requires action, even when the action is simply waiting on Him.
As soon as we hear from The Torch Haiti Campus, we will let you know.
